Every two years, Bucharest hosts one of the most famous festivals of classical music in the world, George Enescu Festival, a renowned event which lasts for 22 days. The present edition brings to Bucharest 2,500 musicians from all over the world, who will perform 58 indoor concerts at the Romanian Athenaeum and The Palace Hall.
Two of the best orchestra in the world will enchant the public at the current edition, namely The Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra under the batton of famous Sir Simon Rattle, and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam. The first will perform on September 3rd, while the latter is going to perform on September 19th and 20th. Another famous orchestra will perform on George Enescu Festival’s stage, namely San Francisco Symphony.
Since most of the tickets were sold months ago, those who want to take part to this amazing festival can watch the concerts online, on the website of the festival, or on the street screens from Unirii Boulevard. On the other hand, there are several free entrance outdoor concerts held on the Festival Square, just near the Romanian Athenaeum.
